Geotechnical Project EngineeR

The Geotechnical Project Engineer (GPE) will perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing geotechnical, forensic, and subsidence projects. The GPE is expected to manage and implement assigned projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Master's degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of employment experience in geotechnical engineering
  • Relevant technical experience in Geotechnical engineering and numerical analyses
  • Familiar with Geotechnical analysis and modeling software packages (e.g., Flac, or Geostudio, or Plaxis, or Rocsience products, etc)
  • Familiar with soil and rock mechanics principles, foundation engineering design, retaining walls design, soil and rock mechanics tests
  • Ability to perform slope stability and seepage analyses
  • Have report writing skills
  • Ability to manage engineers and technicians in geotechnical, subsidence, and forensic engineering projects
  • Ability to develop proposals and scopes, programming supervision, quality control, and budget management

Engineer manager

This position requires management and supervision of multiple projects within the project timeline and budget limits. The qualified candidate mentors geotechnical engineering and technical staff, conducts quality assurance of engineering products, and builds client relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Geotechnical Engineering and with an interest in challenging projects.
  • 5 or more years employment experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Familiar with Geotechnical Engineering software, design and analyses.
  • Must speak and write English fluently and have proven record of report writing experience.
  • Have a PE license

Geotechnical or Mining EngineeR

Geotechnical or Mine Engineer will perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing geotechnical/mining, forensic, and subsidence projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Geotechnical OR Master’s degree in Mining Engineering with focus on subsidence and/or ground control
  • Relevant technical experience in Geotechnical or Mining engineering and numerical analyses
  • Familiar with soil and rock mechanics principles
  • Have report writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other engineers and technicians in geotechnical/mining, subsidence, and forensic engineering projects
  • Ability to develop proposals and scopes, programming supervision, quality control, and budget management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0 to 5 years of employment experience in geotechnical or mining engineering
  • Familiar with geotechnical or mining modeling software packages (e.g., Flac, or Geostudio, or Plaxis, or Rocsience products, etc)
  • Familiar with subsidence profile developments, foundation engineering design, soil and rock mechanics tests
